Since 1993, The Attic Youth Center in Philadelphia has provided a safe and supportive community where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth can develop into healthy, independent, civic minded adults. The Attic is now one of the largest community centers in the US committed exclusively to serving LGBTQ youth and allies. On a daily basis, anywhere from 25 to 70 underprivileged youth (ages 14 -24) attend programs including art, music, radio-podcast, HIV prevention, support and discussion groups.
